Interventi di pulizia e rilievo presso il nuraghe S’Ulimu di Ulassai (NU)

Abstract

Nell’ambito del progetto per l’attuazione delle azioni di promozione e valorizzazione degli itinerari promosse dal GAL Ogliastra assieme al Comune di Ulassai (NU) e con la collaborazione dell’Agenzia Forestas, sono state condotte nei mesi di gennaio e febbraio 2024 le operazioni di pulizia presso l’area del nuraghe S’Ulimu, sotto la direzione scientifica della Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio per le province di Sassari e Nuoro. Il monumento protostorico in questione rappresenta una delle testimonianze più significative e importanti dell’intero territorio comunale e di questa sub-regione che, pur non essendo ancora stato oggetto di indagini archeologiche sistematiche, si distingue sia per la sua monumentalità che per uno stato di conservazione discreto. Inoltre, le azioni di pulizia hanno consentito di eseguire un rilievo aggiornato attraverso l’utilizzo dell’aerofotogrammetria e della tecnologia LIDAR e di poter apprezzare la reale entità del nuraghe e delle sue articolazioni strutturali.

As part of the project for the implementation and the promotion of the itineraries supported by the GAL Ogliastra together with the Municipality of Ulassai (NU) and with the collaboration of the Forestas Agency, cleaning operations were carried out in the area of the nuraghe S'Ulimu in January and February 2024, under the scientific direction of the Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio per le province di Sassari e Nuoro.

This protohistoric monument represents one of the most significant and important attestations in the entire municipal territory and in this sub-region which, although it has not yet been investigated by archaeological operations, stands out both for its monumentality and for a discrete state of conservation. Furthermore, the cleaning actions have made it possible to carry out an updated survey through the use of aerial photogrammetry and LIDAR technology and to appreciate the real entity of the nuraghe and its general outline
